Kauai Community Science Center is a place where curiosity, creativity and scientific exploration come together. The center showcases science and technology through projects and activities that encourage students to ask questions, explore new ideas and develop a deeper understanding of the world around them.
Students play an important role in shaping the center's activities. Their interests and questions help inspire projects that make learning science more engaging and meaningful. By encouraging young people to explore subjects they are passionate about, the center helps develop confidence, creativity and problem-solving skills.
Professional guidance provides students with opportunities to expand their knowledge and gain practical experience. Scientists, educators and other specialists can share their expertise, encourage experimentation and help young learners connect classroom concepts with real-world applications of science and technology.
The Kauai Community Science Center brings scientific learning beyond the classroom and into the wider community. Through educational activities, projects and shared discoveries, the center creates opportunities for people of different ages to learn, participate and develop a lasting interest in science and technology.

We SO appreciate your feedback. As a grassroots, growing non-profit we need to hear from you to improve our services and provide the Kaua'i community with the best possible programs. If you have attended a HOTspot, virtual STEAM night, or have participated with KCSC in any way we would love if you shared a bit about your experience. Cheers!

KCSC wants to create more opportunities for students, parents, teachers and the whole community to experience informal science learning that is fun, creative and relevant. We create our events, STEAM nights and internship programs with the Kaua'i community in mind - providing awesome experiences for Kaua'i to get involved with science.

For a sustainable Kaua'i we need a well qualified workforce with a strong STEAM foundation and solid 21st Century Learning Skills like collaboration, communication, critical thinking and creativity. KCSC models and promotes 21st Century Learning Skills and provides a wide variety of STEAM programing to grow science literacy on Kaua'i.

Climate change impacts all of us. Through the KCSC CLIMATE CONNECT we encourage everyone to Connect to Make a Difference and think about how everything we do is somehow related to taking care of our planet. We are very proud of our CLIMATE CONNECT logo created by Brynn Lee Hirata in 2020 when she was a sixth grader at Waimea Canyon Middle School.

We all thrive in a safe and respectful environment and providing that is our goal for our team, guests, events and community.
